ONSITE VISITATION

We offer guided walks and/ or bus tour programs for pre-booked Preschool to Year 12 students. Join our friendly staff for curriculum-based programs linking into sustainability and environmental education.

At the National Arboretum, only six kilometres from the centre of Canberra, students can explore some of our 44,000 rare, endangered and symbolic trees from around the world. We offer 250 hectares of rolling hills, providing unique opportunities for students and teachers to learn about conservation, geography and ecology.

We welcome all students and can tailor pre-booked programs to meet your needs.

Discover one of Canberra’s top tourist destinations, our Village Centre, the Pod Playground, the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection, and spectacular views over Canberra!

Orienteering is a great way to take advantage of the wide open spaces at the Arboretum and challenge students to work together to read maps and strategically search for markers.  This program is available as an evening program as well as a  daytime activity.
