Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER)
The Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) Program provides a travel subsidy for Years 4–12 students across Australia to visit Parliament House, the Museum of Australian Democracy, the National Electoral Education Centre, the Australian War Memorial and other national institutions as part of their civics and citizenship education.
Each year more than 2,000 schools and 160,000 of their students accelerate their learning by visiting these institutions.
The PACER Program supports onsite learning at national democratic, historical and cultural institutions in Canberra to improve understanding of Australian democracy. The intent is for young people to complete school with the skills they need to succeed as active and involved citizens. All PACER approved national institutions provide educational programs that directly align to the Australian Curriculum.
