PROGRAM 1 - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures Teacher Workshop Support the teaching of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures through interpretation of historical content and available resources at the National cultural institutions in Canberra.

A one-day workshop for ACT and NSW teachers designed to support and develop your teaching of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. Teacher participants work with expert staff from relevant national institutions to explore ways in which they can develop professional skills in this cross-curriculum priority area of the Australian Curriculum.

TQI ACCREDITATION Support the teaching of Aboriginal and Torrens Strait Islander Histories and Cultures through interpretation of historical content and available resources at the National cultural institutions in Canberra will contribute 5 hours of TQI Accreditation addressing 2.4, 3.4, 6.2, 6.3 of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers toward Proficient Teacher Accreditation in the ACT.

NES ACCREDITATION Completing Support the teaching of Aboriginal and Torrens Strait Islander Histories and Cultures through interpretation of historical content and available resources at the National cultural institutions in Canberra will contribute 5 hours of NESA Registered PD addressing 2.4.2, 3.4.2, 6.2.2, 6.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
