Media and Me

•How does media influence us?

•How can we decode the layers of meaning in media?

•How can we use our media powers for good?

Media and Me explores all these questions and more, equipping students with critical thinking skills to navigate an increasingly digital world.

This facilitated media literacy program examines storytelling through animation, advertising, social media, film and music, taking Students on a journey through our collection of over 4 million items.

Media and Me is PACER accredited, and available for Primary and Secondary Students.

WHERE: Onsite (Theatrette & Mediatheque).

WHAT:60-minute duration |Fully facilitated| Teachers must attend.

COST:$7 (5–99 Students).

 

A Night at the Movies

Treat your students to a magical night at the movies, with a range of iconic Australian films on offer.

Exclusively for school groups, A Night at the Movies includes behind-the-scenes content, outlining the history of cinema projection in Australia and how we play films in cinemas today.

Audiences will also enjoy a selection of vintage advertisements from our collection before the feature film plays.

WHERE: Onsite (Theatrette).

WHAT: Approximately 2 hours |Not facilitated| Teachers must supervise.

COST:$12 (50–105 Students)|Tickets include a sweet treat.
