Cockington Green Gardens

A visit to our unique display provides an opportunity for students to experience some of the world’s great buildings, in just one visit. It’s education and fun wrapped into one!

Night-time and after hours openings

Our spectacular display can be viewed at night. Visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening and see exhibits transformed by thousands of tiny LED lights into a night-time wonderland. A ride on the steam train is included for all night-time visitors, providing students with a spectacular overview of the illuminations.

Miniature steam train rides

There are very few places where children can enjoy a train ride drawn by a genuine steam locomotive, moreover one fired by environmentally-friendly gas. (Daytime rides incur a small additional charge.)

Picnic area

Visiting groups may bring a picnic and enjoy the group picnic area, nestled on our front lawn.

Meet and greet

Schools will be welcomed and receive a brief history along with some interesting facts on the display during their visit.
