A vibrant place in the heart of the city, Canberra Museum + Gallery(CMAG) celebrates the region’s social history and visual arts with dynamic exhibitions and unique programs and events.
CMAG offers a wide range of onsite learning programs with an emphasis on art and history, designed as interactive learning experiences.
Programs are held in gallery spaces with accompanying practical sessions in the studio.
Outreach and online resources are also available to enrich classroom experiences, and as a supplement to excursions.
We are excited to announce the introduction of a comprehensive new learning program in 2024, connected to the award‑winning permanent exhibition Canberra/Kamberri: Place + People.
With rich links to the Australian Curriculum, the program provides an insight into Canberra’s social and cultural history through exploration in the gallery and an artmaking session in the CMAG studio.
