Students throughout Australia can now write messages of welcome to our nation’s new citizens.

From inspiring words to colourful artworks, Welcome Messages will be treasured by new Australians. They are a unique symbol of acceptance and welcome from young people in their local community.

It's as easy as 1,2,3.

1. Using the guide and templates at citizenship.gov.au/schools,students can create their own unique Welcome Message.

2. Teachers can provide the original hard copy or email scanned versions to their local government council.

3. Councils will provide the messages to new citizens at citizenship ceremonies as a special gift
