Canberra City YHA provides a unique urban experience to groups. Located in the heart of the city, the YHA is only minutes away from popular attractions.

Facilities

Student rooms are dormitory bunk-bed style sleeping 4 or 8 to a room. Teachers and coach drivers are offered comfortable rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, towels, televisions and private bathrooms (where available).

Our group dining/lounge is an exclusive space for use by groups—yours to run movie nights, evening activities or debriefs. Our rooftop terrace can be used for group BBQs upon request and our pool, spa and sauna can also be enjoyed throughout your stay (children must be supervised at all times).

Security

Safety and security is taken very seriously. We have CCTV cameras fitted throughout the building, a fire alarm system meeting all regulations and staff onsite 24 hours per day. Access to the building, bedrooms and bathrooms requires the use of an electronic swipe card.

We also offer groups exclusive group accommodation areas. These areas are fitted with secure glass walls and entry is via swipe card security doors which lead to group rooms. These have been designed specifically to provide greater security and privacy for groups.

Catering

Our in-house catering team offers various options for healthy breakfasts, lunches and dinners. We can customise any meal based on your requirements, special diets or allergies. Please don’t hesitate to request anything specific with our team; we are always happy to help.

Rooms from $46.00 per person per night including continental breakfast (extra charges for additional meals).

Free accommodation is provided to coach drivers. Free accommodation for teachers is offered on a 1:20 basis (based on twin share). We provide free high speed Wi-Fi to all teachers and coach drivers.
