Birrigai is in the beautiful foothills of the Brindabella Ranges, only 40 minutes from Canberra’s centre. Beneath Gibraltar Peak—with native fauna roaming amongst our buildings—we offer a wonderful glimpse of Australian wilderness from our front door.
Birrigai offers quality educational experiences, designed and run by qualified teachers to complement the Australian Curriculum. Programs are themed around the Environment, Indigenous Cultures, Australian History and/or Outdoor Adventure.
All programs can be experienced as part of an overnight camp or a day excursion to Birrigai.
Birrigai can accommodate 188 students and 12 teachers across our three dorm style cabins. All cabins feature separate teachers/leaders accommodation with ensuite bathrooms. Students are accommodated in shared dorms sleeping 8—16 students, with shared bathroom facilities. Two cabins feature central common areas equipped with a television and DVD player, providing a wonderful spot for students to unwind at the end of an exciting day.
Birrigai offers a full catering service, prepared by our fully qualified chefs. All can be tailored to fit individual dietary requirements. Birrigai also offers a residential style kitchen for small groups wishing to self-cater.
