Canberra Attractions - Virtual Classrooms
With children unable to visit Canberra on a traditional school excursion, many attractions in Canberra have been busily reimagining their educational offerings to enable students across Australia to connect with online, live and interactive programs, facilitated by dedicated educational staff.
Australian Parliament House
Get your class excited about Australia’s parliamentary democracy with a selection of civics and citizenship programs and resources from Australian Parliament House!
Parliamentary Insider is a free, curriculum aligned video conferencing program which gives students the opportunity to speak with experts and explore how Parliament works to make Australia a better place to live.
The Parliamentary Education Office website features a wide range of engaging teacher and student resources and activities aligned to the Australian Curriculum.
Students can also explore the Senate and House of Representatives chambers, the Federation chamber and a Senate committee room with the virtual tour of Parliament House.
Australian War Memorial
While many interstate schools have had to cancel their trips to Canberra, you can still connect with the Australian War Memorial through a range of online resources.

The National Museum of Australia, with the generous support of Gandel Philanthropy, is planning a digital teacher professional learning program - Australian Perspectives 2021: First Nations. Gender. Migration. We’re bringing together a range of speakers from across the country to share their stories and reflect on the personal and national defining moments that have shaped them.
Due to Covid-19 lock downs the date and details are currently TBC but join our
