April Newsletter 2020 - Covid
Dear Teachers
The Canberra school excursion community wishes all well during this time of uncertainty. This includes Canberra attractions, accommodation providers, tour operators and all those providing an experience for a school excursion. Schools which have had to postpone their excursion to Canberra in March and April are sadly missed.
To all teachers, we know the strain you are under and we want you to know we appreciate the time and effort you put into caring for children. We understand how much of your time goes into organising excursions such as the Canberra experience, so we want you to know we are ready and waiting for when life goes back to normal.
Canberra’s attractions have many online resources and activities, that may provide a support to you over the coming weeks, and we will be in contact with further details of these once school holidays end in April.
Postponement of Canberra excursions
If you have already, or need to postpone your excursion, accommodation providers should honour any deposits you have so you can reschedule your trip at a later time. The process with almost all attractions is to cancel and then re-book when you can.
The industry in Canberra will look at ways to increase program capacity so schools that have postponed trips will have options for another date. If you’re using a tour operator, they are your best source of information and we will be in constant contact with them over the coming months.
If you book your own excursions with Book Canberra Excursions (BCE) attractions please go to the Book Canberra Excursions portal, where Help articles on Updating Bookings are available. Contact details for other attractions are available on Canberra Excursions website along with other excursion information.
If you want any help with anything please Contact Us.
Keep safe
