ROME: CITY AND EMPIRE FROM THE BRITISH MUSEUM

The Museum is offering Rome: City and Empire school programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum. Students can explore how the Empire was won, witness Rome’s grandeur, and understand the rich diversity of her peoples.
Teacher-guided: 15 October to 21 December 2018
Monday to Friday 9 am, 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm
•   Teachers lead students through a one-hour self-guided tour
•   Curriculum: History, Years 5 to 12 and general introduction
•   Cost: $10 per student
Museum-guided: 23 October to 14 December 2018
Tuesday to Friday 10 am and 12.30 pm
•   Students find and analyse source material with use of ICT, in a two-hour program with a Museum educator
•   Curriculum: History, Year 7, ACDSEH038, ACDSEH039, ACDSEH040 and Ancient History, Year 12, ACHAH204, ACHAH215
•   Cost: $12 per student
Museum-guided (after hours): 23 October to 13 December 2018
Tuesday to Thursday, 5–6 pm
•   A one-hour tour of key objects and themes with a Museum educator
•   Curriculum: History, Years 5 to 12 and general introduction
•   Cost: $15 per student
